They're not the stuff I typically like, but someone suggested them to me and I liked it immediately. If you haven't already, get HS' Separation Sunday. I think it's better than Boys and Girls although I really loved that album.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-227282089885760372.post-46263004117022126832007-04-17T19:55:00.000-07:002007-04-17T19:55:00.000-07:00By the way....i just checked out those Silver Jews...By the way....i just checked out those Silver Jews songs. I really, really like them. They're the second best thing you've introduced me to, so far (The Hold Steady is #1). I've added The Silver Jews to my "I'll Download Later" section of eMusic.

I was hesitant after my first listen of The Hold Steady, I had read one of your blogs on them a long time ago and had heard them on Letterman, but wasn't sure if I liked them or not. I think I even told Gerdon that they reminded me of the Gin Blossoms/Toad the Wet Sprocket/Soul Asylum trifecta of the 90s. Now, they're one of my top bands. So, I give you props on that one...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-227282089885760372.post-7654396545115936862007-04-15T08:39:00.000-07:002007-04-15T08:39:00.000-07:00Hey, if you like Malkmus's stuff, check out The Ji...Hey, if you like Malkmus's stuff, check out The Jicks....i think that's his new bandAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
